  LESLIE DAVENPORT, M.S., LMFT

Leslie Davenport is the Founder of the John F. Kennedy University Certificate Program in Deep Imagination - Guided Imagery, and an Adjunct Professor and Clinical Supervisor at the California Institute of Integral Studies. As a Professor of Psychology at JFK University, she taught in the Transpersonal Psychology Graduate Program.  She was the Founder and Supervisor of Guided Imagery Programs at both Alta Bates Comprehensive Cancer Center and Brookside Hospital in California, and served on the Faculty and Advisory Council of the Mind-Body Medicine Program at Five Branches University.

Leslie is a founding member of the Institute for Health & Healing, one of the nation's earliest and largest hospital-based integrative medicine centers where she created and directed a guided imagery certification training program for mental health clinicians. In her 25 years of leadership there, she established guided imagery services at the bedside in all medical units, as well as in the hospital's outpatient clinics. She currently practices integrative psychotherapy in private practice in Tacoma, Washington and at Smith Integrative Oncology in San Francisco.

Leslie is the author of two books: Healing and Transformation through Self-Guided Imagery and Emotional Resiliency in the Era of Climate Change: A Clinican’s Guide. She is Editor of the book Transformative Imagery: Cultivating the Imagination for Healing, Change, and Growth
